This is all that I was obsessed about when I grew up watching Lacrosse
greats like Chris Remmington & Powell brothers. I
would attempt to get my hands on anything I could find to become better
at teaching lacrosse players how to train for the sport.
Unfortunately, everything I found was not very helpful outside of
gaming strategies.
I'm sure you know EXACTLY
what I mean. One look around the
internet, book stores, or one of my favorite sites Amazon and you'll
find 99% of the "lacrosse training" info out there simply leaves you
wanting to know more.
In my continued passion though for lacrosse I didn't stop learning how
to train athletes. I knew that no matter what sport if you knew how to
train an athlete you'd be pretty close to creating a high performing
lacrosse player.
The Surprising Big Break aka The A-HA Moment
In 1996 while working at a gym I came across a man. He wanted
to improve his athletic performance (more speed, more power, that kind
of thing) and I was able to go ahead and get him to improve in his
performance.
Little did I know that
this was one of the players for the Rochester
Knighthawks (professional lacrosse team).
His experience training with me gave me the
confidence that the resources I've used was working.
It was so good that I
became the first strength coach ever hired by a
team in the NLL(National Lacrosse League).
The client I had brought me to his GM and before you knew it I got a
job working with professional lacrosse players. Now it wasn't
roses at the beginning. Being 21-22 years old the guys gave me a hard
time about training. I guess you can say I was the 'new kid
on the block' and had to earn my stripes.
Never one to back down from a challenge I did just that. I
learned what it took to create good high performing
lacrosse players. In fact we went to the playoffs and then
lost in the championship within my two years with the ball club.
One of the players in
fact said "man I know we really gave you a hard
time but your training really helped us get to the top and we
appreciate it."
Those are the words you like to hear, imagine the feeling I felt
inside? (Can you say
goosebumps)
This is when I realized that the Lacrosse Training I was doing was
VERY real.

As soon as I had a taste of how fun and rewarding it was to training
lacrosse players, I was hooked.
I became so hooked that after working with the NLL I went ahead and
created a business where I get
to work with high school lacrosse players ALL YEAR LONG. I
use the word 'work' lightly as I
truly enjoy
being able to train
players going around the nation
showcasing their talents in front of top college
coaches.
Not too long afterwards the governing body of Lacrosse, US Lacrosse
came knocking on my door to provide
